What is your vision for transportation in Frisco?
Community design to encourage transportation other than cars
Sep 16, 2014 Ron S27

Our city is planned and designed around the automobile. For most neighborhoods, you pretty much have to drive to go to any retail development or office. The large residential neighborhoods are built with considerable distance to commercial and business districts, making it impractical to walk or to the store. Frisco square is an exception to this, and perhaps the older portion of town as well.

A change of this kind would require a paradigm change in people's thinking, as well as significant changes in the development and zoning code. Are smaller neighborhood stores viable and are they wanted by today's consumer?
