Growing a more vibrant Arts & Culture identity

Our city needs more than just sports, business, and kid-focused activity. While the Frisco Arts and VAGF are trying to create culturally sophisticated education and entertainment options, this needs to be a higher priority for us. The City of Dallas' "Business Arts Initiative" http://dallascityhall.com/government/mayor/businessArts.html is an ideal model. The Business Council for the Arts is already looking at Frisco as a target to expand their "Leadership Arts" program to an "up North" option for businesses and business leaders. A strong cultural identity was Toyota's final reason for choosing Plano as their headquarters, and Frisco, with so much land still available for development, has the opportunity to expand our identity and create visual and performing arts venues for all to enjoy. The Cowboys' Charlotte Jones Anderson could be a key linchpin and advocate for these initiatives.
